Dougie Simpson joined the pastoral team at Deeside in August 2009. He shares in the work of shepherding the church and is the ministry lead for families. 

Originally from Kirkcaldy, Dougie studied at the University of Glasgow before teaching Design & Technology at Dyce Academy, where he served as Principal Teacher before sensing God’s call into vocational ministry.

Part of the inaugural Young Leaders Academy at Deeside, he spent his early years on staff attending the Cornhill Training Course and later went on to complete the Pastors’ Training Course.

He is married to Susan, and they have three children. When he’s not serving the church, Dougie enjoys football, golf, good food, and spending time with his family.
