Nursing Homes

As a church here at DCFC, we are keen to be a help in our local community. One very effective way of doing this is to be present in local nursing homes. We currently run services in three homes here in the area:-
Tor-na-Dee Care Home 
Hawkhill Nursing Home
Eastleigh Nursing Home
The services are run by Home Groups from the church and are quite informal encouraging as much interaction as possible between residents, staff and folks from the church who are participating. A typical service would last about ½ hour and consist of some songs (mainly older style hymns, prayers, Scripture reading and a brief reflection or testimony).

Prayer points:-
That the home groups leading these services would be able to communicate the Gospel in a sensitive, relevant and clear way.
That the residents would be blessed and encouraged as they are ministered to.
That staff would continue to be helpful in welcoming us into these homes and that they too would be blessed through our being there.
